REN-ISAC financial principles are described in the Charter.

In order to provide for long-term sustainability and to support growth of services and membership, a modest membership fee is charged. The fee is per institution, regardless of the number of member representatives. The scope of "institution" when applied to multi-campus systems is described in section 3.2 of the Membership Terms and Conditions.

For the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2009, our business plan called for a fee of $900/year for institutions with one or more XSec member representatives, and $700/year for General member-only institutions. Recognizing the financial challenges that most institutions are facing as a result of the economic downturn, a decision has been made to scale back plans for fiscal 2009-10, and reduce the fees by 50%. Accordingly, the fees for 2009-10 will be $450/350 XSec and General membership respectively.

The fees will be re-evaluated each year, and communicated to members during the first calendar quarter.
