For colleges and universities in the United States, our membership fee is based on the Carnegie Classification of Institutions of Higher Education. From the Carnegie database, we use the "Basic" measure of instiutution type, based on student headcount, degree programs, and amount of research conducted at the institution (among other variables). Rather than having 33 different fees, we've collapsed the institution types down to four.
To check how your institution is classified, you can search listings in the Carnegie database. When reviewing the results, look in the "Classification" column for "Basic". The following table highlights our fee structure.
Classification Category (Basic) | Our Fee |
Doctoral Universities: Highest Research Activity | $ 2, 500.00 annual fee |
Doctoral Universities: Higher Research Activity | $ 2, 250.00 annual fee |

Master's Colleges & Universities: Larger Programs | $ 1, 500.00 annual fee |
